I would make a Z432R clone with a nice fresh OS Giken motor, like this one. Its only 30k for the motor..... tears

The answer is always OS Giken. But, you say youd build a 432 clone, does that mean starting with an L20 or destroking a bigger L? Or, would you have the extra displacement?
Another angle (I think), with some tuning. Apparently its 3.2l?

Here, and I was just going to do a cleaned-up S130 280ZX slick-top version homage car to the 432/432R, with an RB swap...
But an S30 with a built 2.8L OS Giken engine... that is a thing of beauty.

I thought the 1972 Hakosuka was called an S20 (160 hp, 1,989 cc DOHC 24-valve S20 inline six-cylinder engine with triple side-draft Mikuni-Solex carburetors), I was under the impression OS Giken made a copy of that motor, just with all the material updates that we have at our disposal today.

Yea, the Z432 has the S20, which is a Prince engine, not really related to the L-series. (It also went into the Hakosuka.) The TC24 head which is the sweet, sweet miracle you posted up top is for L-series blocks, which have different bore spacing. So, the new OS Giken engines are L-series derived, but with lots of modern goodies in the bottom and top end. Although the original TC24 is from the 70s, the modern version has also had a bunch of updating.

My friend has a black 280ZX in his shop right now that looks a lot like that, not a crazy motor though. Belongs to a girl.

If I can ever afford an OS Giken motor I will pull my original matching number motor and store it. I see new Porsches and all I can think is that I could build a really amazing Z from mine and have tons left over!
