In the midst of gutting my ‘93 Strat. Waiting for a new pickguard and GFS Texas alnico single coils to be delivered, so today I spent some time getting a new Graphtech nut filed down and installed.

FWIW, I found that old computer supply wiring is great for this job.

Good idea. I have a vintage wiring and pot kit waiting for this, but I’ll remember that for other projects.

GFS’s pickups are always surprisingly great. I need to get a Tele bridge pickup from them and Esquire the surf green Tele I put together recently.

This is my first set, but I’ve heard lots of good things and you can’t beat the price. They have a 10% off deal through the new year.

Surf green Telecasters are the best. Evidence? Clare Dunn plays one and she’s total bad ass who sings a song about driving the wheels off of whatever shitbox car you happen to own (seriously, “Ferrari” is pretty much the theme song of Oppo). Also, I may or may not have a surf green Telecaster.
