That’s a LS4. Torque steer galore.

torque steer on launch, and understeer every other moment. it would be a nutso handful!

wonder what the trans is like, bet it spins one front wheel really well!

More terminal understeer than an audi.

See, this is what happens when we just say LS all the things. This looks straight up unsafe.

If only there was a way to mount that engine further forward...

yes, one would need to strongly coach a driver before letting them loose with it. that thing will handle like pig

Ah so this is how you get 80/20 weight distribution. Audi is probably taking notes.

front wheel stands under heavy braking is the goal!

Kinja'd!!!3

At that point I wonder which would happen first, the front overloading and understeering or the rear lifting completely off the ground and oversteering...

The answer to your question is “yes”

Now THAT will give us the weight transfer we’re looking for!

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

So much this. My first three thoughts upon seeing the photo (and not reading the thread):

1. How much frame rail was hacked out of that poor thing to fit the motor/trans?

2. Where did the upper tie bar go/whats keeping the front structure together?

3. Where the fuck is the radiator? (Well, I see it beside the car, but where exactly will it be bolted?)

Exactly. I know enough about the way these things are put together to know that it would pretty much have to be structurally compromised somewhere. Maybe they’re planning to partially tube the front and put the radiator in back, who knows, but as it stands this doesn’t look well considered.

lol, understeering turning into oversteer, be like a bike and have to not brake in turns

Let’s not forget that the 4T65 will explode the second that it reaches 0.2 psi of boost. They failed quite easily under stock power, it might literally explode with this.

a turbo ls aircooled? sure, throw another odd challange at this builder, why not

No kidding, I wondered what they could possibly be doing for a trans. Is that what this had? I didn’t click through. Wasn’t sure there was enough room behind that block for a GM transaxle, but a turbo Chevy will certainly vaporize anything Honda has ever made.

Kinja'd!!!1

I didn’t look at the build thread and am assuming since there’s no room for a radiator, or one pictured, its now air-cooled.

I mean, its there... but is it THERE??

Also, WTF Wisconsin? There’s gotta be something in our water making people think up all this craziness.

That’s what the engine originally came with, so I would guess that they wouldn’t go through the effort of swapping one.

yeah i see what you mean. its ALLLLLL engine, seemingly no room for anything else with that turbo on the front

The LS4 is used in FWD applications.

That engine is further ahead of the front axle than an Audi’s engine, fuck.
