I think I decided on Enkei GT7's in 15" for my Civic to replace the ugly rims:
I just can’t decide if they should be black or silver. The real only reason I am considering black is the steelie i’m running to replace the bent rim in the meantime is black. I kind of like it on the car. I have also found the black rims $12 cheaper per rim.
I told my friends and family to get cheap ebay accessories for my Civic. I received two different short shifters.

Which one should I try first. I will probably end up putting the stock one with new bushings back into eventually. I wanted to see how bad/good some of the ebay parts were and didn’t want to spend my money on it. I got more parts like a hot pink silcone hose kit and a universal led dash kit.

I like the short throw shifter in my Prelude. It’s only a slight difference, but noticeable. I thought the stock shift length was just a little on the long side, but now it’s perfect.
As for the wheels, black hides brake dust and stuff better.

The wheels on there are dope, and symettrical.

99-00 Si wheels are the best Civic wheels.

You are correct except for maybe the JDM Volks. I cannot justify half the cost of the whole car on a clean set of SI rims. I can justify a little less than a quarter of the value with the Enkei’s.

Too bad one is bent and from what I have found impossible to replace. I do not like the current wheels. Most of the people I know like them, but my brain must see them differently than other peoples. It’s weird, but most wheels for me start in the middle and work out. The wheels on my car I look at outside in for some reason and the design does not work that way. I found the Enkei’s locally for $78(black) or $90(silver) a piece on close-out. I could do a lot worse for that price so I am jumping on them.

Oooohhhhh I like those. Wish I would have seen those before I ordered the Maxxim Ferris wheels for my 98. I like the silver though. Too much black with the black body.

The real question: what’s the net gain/loss of wheel weight?

I vote black. BTW I’ve had a set of enkei’s on my Camry for 150,000 miles. One hit the highway at 80 mph, it didn’t break. In fact it is still useable. Mine are 18" gunmetal with a machined lip. They’re my profile pic

The Enkei’s are 15.7 lbs at 15". I have no idea what the current 13" weigh, but it does not matter one is bent and it is impossible to find a match in good condition. I think the stock 13" steelies were around 16 or 17lbs each.

Bah. I always thought those 7spokes look to plain. There was a Red 7the gen just like my old one I saw all the time and I was always so glad I had my Ls webs instead.
