I’d rather have a California than a 488

I’d take a 350 GT over any current Lamborghini. Just my 2 cents.
Fashionable GT’s > Supercars.

Lamborghini has been getting worse since they starting racing.

I have no desire for a Ferrari.

I completely agree. I’d love to see what they could come up with today for a true GT car

California T is best modern Ferrari

Agreed.

I promised myself, in like 1999, that I’d have a 550 Maranello one day. I’m only slightly closer to making it happen now than I was then (unless I sell my house), but I still want a front-engined Fezza.

I love the 550, but I’d rather have that engine in the middle.

Espada is life.

I’d take an FF before either of those, so don’t feel that bad.

never liked it. same thing with the Europa. Too visually heavy
![]() 12/22/2016 at 15:49 |

I like the Europa too (except the damn saggy looking door trim)

If we’re making startling Ferrari confessions, the most recent designs I’ve liked from them date back to the 1960s. Even then, there were many that weren’t exactly sexy...

I have that thought process too sometimes. “I could sell my house and buy...!”
It feels worth it more often than I like to admit.

I’d rather have a 575 than anything in their current lineup. I can also say that I’d probably prefer the 458 over the 488 (even though I currently drive a turbocharged car, I prefer natural aspiration).

I’d rather have TB than a CA.

The wonky shape of those windows makes me incredibly angry.

The California T is a massive improvement over the previous model and very nice on its own, but I still prefer the 488. Although, if I had the money, (hahahahaha what a laff) I wouldn’t buy any Ferrari today because their interiors are some of the worst designed I’ve ever seen.

I mean seriously, wtf is this?
![]() 12/22/2016 at 18:07 |

Yeah, it’s amazing how bro the interiors are. Bro is the only explanation for the excessive black, carbon fiber and red. Give me a caramel leather interior red California any day. I’m not here for lap times bro lol

So, during the recession, the house across the street from us got foreclosed on and went up for sale. It’s about 400 sq ft smaller than ours. I told my gf I thought we should buy it, sell ours, get a much smaller mortgage on it, pay it off fast, and spend the money we saved on a Corvette.
Weirdly, she didn’t like the idea...

I’m in the weird situation where I could sell my house, move back to where I grew up, have a smaller mortgage, immediate cash for that Corvette - and keep the same job. And then I remember why I moved halfway across the country to begin with.

I just wish the California looked better... it’s just still kinda weird to me. Otherwise I agree with you in theory - a front engined California would be awesome, but it needs to be sexier looking.

I don’t care so much about materials, but that organic/mutated design is seriously weird.

The current California T looks pretty good but the first design definitely left a lot to be desired. It was too boring and frumpy for a Ferrari.

It is very ‘Aliens’ isn’t it?
