my first pc had no hd, it was a tandy 1000 with a monchrome display.
Later added a 80mb hard drive,
I remember when memory was 100$ a mb
My first Pentium was a 133 with 4mb ram and a 1.2gb hard drive.

My brother-in-law bought a new computer for his family one Christmas from Gateway 2000. A 486DX2-66 it was, and he paid $50/meg for 16 megs of RAM.
