"HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles" (hondasfordsvolvo)

So Chevy’s “real people, not actors” ad campaign was/is pretty terrible, but this one has to be the worst.
This would never happen with regular poeple who weren’t warned, even with a trained bear Chevy wouldn’t take the risk of a random person freaking out, or having a heart attack, out of fear. Not to meantion the main character of the ads looks like a genuine murderer in this ad, in his brand new Carheart jacket. Then when they show the truck it’s in completely perfect lighting, almost like it’s not really there, and those people are just looking at a green screen...
Gotta love that one of the guys has a spotless high vis vest, like he just walked from the worlds cleanest construction site.
Wait a minute I just noticed at the end, the bear I’d up in the truck bed. Hahahahhahahahahhahahahahahaha

Those cages don’t look anchored into the ground. A grizzly can flip them easily.

I find all of these ads incredibly condescending. The steel vs aluminum beds. The Malibu that “looks like a BMW.” These videos seem to display uneducated people who by some means found employment. In other words, what GM seems to think “regular” people are.

My favorite part of these Chevy “Steel is better than aluminum” ads is that they’re going to look like such morons when they switch over to aluminum.

Vehicle Virgins and DoctaM3's Ford commercials haunt mine....I cannot decide if those are worse than Chevy commercials.

So, you’re saying they should have been grounded to the ground?

I love when they ask the poeple what they think of aluminum, one of them says “light” and they make it seem like a bad thing.

No people need to know how stupid Chevy thinks they are.

If they invited me to act in their commercial I’d be all “Safe in crashes and rust-free you chucklefucks.”

Repeat after me:
“President Trump.”
Chevy knows what they’re doing. They’re going to sell lots of cars and trucks.

Chevy has been making aluminum heads and engine blocks forna while now. They just know how stupid most people are.

Real people trying to act might be a better title for this campaign.
I’m glad I haven’s seen this before, because it’s absolutely horrible! How does this even pass the board? I know Chevy had some horrendous campaigns back in the day, so is this “making american ads great again”?
Asking people without knowledge of metal properties what they think, and then using their answer to prove they are right, really reminds me of your new Prez. He’d probably approve of this.
No questions where asked about what grade or thikness where used in either cage. And, really It leaves the door open for Ford to respond.
Dropping a little plastic daewrolet matiz on a thinwall steel cage, and one on a thickwall ally cage should do the trick, and embarass “regular joe” chevy... That’s an add I’d quite like to see.

What I loved about these adds is that for cages to protect against sharks and such they use aluminum. It just proves that Chevy is preying on the uneducated.

Chevy makes fun of Aluminium trucks and say they don’t last. Land Rover would like a word.
Mind you that is 1 metric ton

Yeah you gotta love how he says “high strength steel, or ... aluminum”
There are endless different grades of both steel and aluminum. So comparing a weak aluminum to a strong steel, or coarse you’d choose the steel. But what itpf it’s high strength aluminum vs pot metal steel?

Yup it’s clear that the intent of this ad is to pull the wool over the eyes of the uneducated
