Friend taking advantage of free parking while my car is out for maintenance.
1994 348tb Challenge—apparently had racing history but was eventually converted to a street car, possibly including a full repaint (paintwork does not look original—too much orange peel for a 1980s car)
Manual steering, fairly heavy clutch. Overall in great shape.

But better than the 355? The million dollar question...

Depends on your taste. The 348 is definitely more of a purist’s car. Apparently this car does have ABS, being a later build.

Look at that well sorted garage!

So gorgeous. I hope one day, my income will increase quicker than price of one of these.
Orange peel means it’s probably original. That’s apparently how 80's and 90's ferraris where. There’s even a thread on ferrari chat called “show us your orange peel”

Wet sand should take care of the orange peel without being expensive. Comparatively.
I dig the yellow. Yellow is a good color.

Ugh, thanks for pointing that out. Dat parent lyfe

Generally, post-millennium cars have worse orange peel due to environmental regulations. But I would have to examine the paint on some other 348s to be sure.

Indeed. Mercedes being one of the worst. I’ve not seen many 348's around, but I’ve seen quite a few 355's and they all had rather poor paint, so I imagine the 348 should be the same.

My friends never take advantage of my empty garage by parking a yellow Ferrari in it when my car is gone. Your friends are better than my friends... :-(

A little more complicated than that—I’m paying him to do a bunch of fluid changes on my car, so my car is occupying his garage lift. On top of that, this 348 usually sits outside (covered) so he benefits from this.
So.......partial-barter friends?

Fair enough... although I will still point out none of my friends even have a yellow Ferrari which could then be a pawn in a fluid-changing/car-lifting/partial-bartering chess game. None of which affects the cool factor of having said car occupy your garage for a short time.

I just learned this recently, too. I had a bumper painted, and they left wet sanding marks on one side that my detailer discovered with his “light of truth.”
