Nice! Link is working now. With some high end snow tires I bet it would be a ball! It’s a good price but I bet you could grind them pretty good, the market for high power rwd cars is pretty soft in Canadian winter (got my s2000 for song a couple January’s ago)

It’s already dropped $1k since it went up, so lowballing to $15k might be doable. Spend that difference on a really good set of winter tires.

A first Gen CTS-V with the LS6 and manual only transmission. I am waiting for people to turn these into track day beasts.

I would strongly consider a first-gen CTS-V as a year-round daily. Get some good snow tires on there and it would be fine.

Get the 06 or 07 they got the 6 litte if I remeber right.

I’m curious as to how long until these drop below $10k in price. Because it’ll probably become a track day toy then.

It’s just one hill that I often use for commuting that would scare me in this. Otherwise, I think it’d be rad.

Don’t have much choice on what I find on Autotrader.

I had an 05 for a couple years and ran it year round, it wasn’t fun in the snow. Winter tires and all, it kept wanting to switch ends on me at the slightest touch of the go pedal. I think it was more to do with the alignment being off and older shocks and struts, because once I sorted that out, it was less squirrelly, but I blew the motor before I could test it that following winter. 150k on it when it blew up while cruising on the highway in 6th gear. It had a intermittent knock, thinking cylinder 7 as it was a noted issue with them running lean in 7. It was strange, but it wouldn’t stop me from getting another one. If it weren’t for my first Son being a few months from being born, I’d have repaired it and kept it. But I moved on to a family car at the time. The 06 and 07s had the 6.0 ls2, but I loved the higher revving z06 ls6, such a nice sound. The ls2 has more low end grunt though, so you can’t go wrong. The interiors were typical gm, but the seats were nice. I drove mine weekly from Detroit to Dayton and back again with no comfort issues. You’ll like it, just look for a nice set of skinny as you can fit snows for it and you’ll be good to go.

I’d be more likely to buy something with less power if I was seriously shopping, but thanks for the advice!

Nah, go for it. They’re pretty cheap to operate and fun cars, 4 door corvette.

I’ve seen some close to 10K, but the ones below it have been beat to hell and wrecked.
