I was grabbing a hot dog down the road and looking at the various auto parts in the shop (they’ve got this door and the rear of a Toyota pickup). Guy behind the counter said no ones been able to identify it, says all they know is it came from a GM. Anyone got any ideas?

Which Spike’s is that? I only ever go to the one in Warwick, and I don’t think that’s it.

I am going to go with a 70's economy car however the mirror being mounted at the front of the window is throwing me for a loop.

or this, based on the bright trim:

Great examples, however I’m leaning toward the first one because there is some black trim on the 2nd that doesn’t fit with the original.
What car is the first?

The angles and straight lines match, but the big black horizontal trim doesn’t look like it fits

Bright window trim on the Olds Delta 88 seems to continue up until ‘89 and then stop, and the bumper strips appear to be glue-on, so I’d say a ~’89 Delta 88 is nearly certain.

Although looking at it again, and the way the door meets the B pillar looks pretty accurate too

I had no idea they had gotten that far out into MA. Neat. Give me a Texas Ranger and half a pound of boneless buffalo wings (50/50 hot and medium sauce) and I’m all set.

‘90 Olds 88. the rub stip might have been taken off if it had one.

they were basically badge engineered, I think they have the same doors.

It’s actually kind of a train wreck of GMery. Best ID so far seems to be lat 80s Olds 88. I *think* that it’s actually the same handle as some late ‘70s Chevys dug out of its grave by GM because it looked classier than other options, but at the same time the H-platforms look like they adopted the mirror-in-door parts from the then-current A-body. It’s a mess.

Mmm you’re giving me good ideas. I’ve only been there 3 times so far and I’ve gotten the junkyard dog every time. I’ll definitely have to try that ranger dog and the wings sometime, i was looking at the ranger today but decided to stick with my regular cause I’m boring.
