Other than his being a genius writer, I can relate to him. That constant pressure of always having to be “on” when around people, that scrounging for conversation topics when there are no shared interests. The jokes only I think are funny. If not for my local car friends and my church, I’d be in a similar state, and even then it’s tough. Introversion is tough.
