Me too, there is on sale a few hours from me. Single Cab, 5L V8, 4wd, 5spd, and step side. It looks so cool.

I don’t mind them. It’s easily removable, so it’s nothing to hold against it.

I tried out a green one many years ago that was like new, low kms, really tight. It was a straight 6, 5-speed. Honestly drove really good, really composed and predictable. I’ve never driven any newer Ferd truck that was as light and nimble feeling - which is just a feeling, not actual agility . I had a similar spec 2001 Silverado that was like new as well but it just didn’t feel as good. Most straight axle trucks drive gross, but some got things closer to right than others right through the years.

I honestly couldn’t care less how trucks drive. They’re trucks. Numb, big, fun simply because of how brute-force they are. Huge grunty V8s that make lots of noise but (until recently) have never gotten you anywhere in a hurry. Hell yeah.

No question, but I’ve had 8-bolt axle vehicles that drove great, so anything with 5-6 bolt shouldn’t be worse.

True, but the only truck I’ve ever driven where I liked the way it drove from a “this feels nice and solid” was the Colorado/Canyon twins. Very car-like, nice seating position.
