Next year or so i’m importing another car or two and on my “list” is a Delta Integrale 16v or a 155Q4. I already own a R32 Skyline but while that wasn’t sold here it has a lot of parts commonality with US cars and if I need help with it most shops that work on Japanese imports know the drivetrain.

What would it be like to own a car like this in the US? Anyone own either of these cars care to comment on them?

I don’t know how great of advice this is, but I would contact the Lane Motor Museum and ask them. They have tons of oddball cars not sold here, and they drive them. They seem like the kind of place that would happily answer questions that they have answers to.

I have a Santana, but it being a 71 it is mostly all Land Rover except a few little pieces.

You should go on the forums for them and ask. Also CCC has a Delta intregrale, you could ask them.

I own a Euro car from a non-US marque.

For servicing, I found a local guy who specializes in Italian cars (which mine effectively is), so he knows how to fix it. For parts, I get brand new ones on eBay, from a store based in Atlanta that specializes in Italian cars...

As for any Lancia or Alfa, there are plenty around in North America: Alfas were sold here, so finding parts and a place to have them installed won’t be a problem. Delta Integrales are actually all over Canada (it’s a popular import from Japan) – again, info and parts won’t be out of reach.

When I was helping DeMuro to locate a car in Europe to import I found a Delta Integrale a few hours from me. I knew Oppo member Jobjoris lived very close to the car, so I asked him to check it out and test drive it first. Which he did. It wasn’t the first time he had driven one. You might want to ask him.
(the Integrale was in poor condition)

I asked on another forum that has a lot of Fiat owners on it and they told me that parts for this car should be as easy as for the Skyline basically. I checked and it looks like everything I need can be shipped from the right places.

I just have to see if I can find a good one for a decent price. I think that will be the hard part.

Perhaps one in Canada might be viable? The exchange rate right now could make importing it very favorable...

Cars in Japan are better than those in other countries like the UK or Canada usually but it doesn’t hurt for me to check.

FYI, almost all the Delta Integrales in Canada are those good ones from Japan! (i.e. the low-mileage, mint-condition cars)
