Might I suggest a book titled “12 hours sleep by 12 weeks”? We had enourmous success with it, and all of my friends who have tried it have as well. Let’s just say I don’t pay for my drinks much when I’m out with them.
Basically, the idea of the book is that you just need to teach the baby HOW to sleep through the night. It also makes the connection between eating schedules and sleeping schedules. It’s not a cry-it-out method, BTW.
4 years and 2 kids later, our house is quiet as a mouse all night long, and has been since each kid was about 3-4 months old. Note though, this method works best with young babies. If you wait until 6-12 months, it won’t work.
Good luck however you go!
