Funny how those you don’t know can bring you such a bug smile. Some time ago I saw a white e28 in gorgeous condition, because I drive an e28 as well, I get a little giddy when I see another one. I gave the guy a rev as I drive past him and he gave me a wave. This was a week or so ago. Just an hour ago I saw the same e28, well it saw me, because it gave a honk as it passed by me. I just love how we don’t know each other at all and we both give our “hello” just because we drive similar cars. Man I love the car community.

I took me almost 2.5 years of driving an E90 M3 to get another M3 driver to wave at me.

Probably doesn’t help that all the newer BMWs look the same and so many people drive them now. (Sorry not sorry) But in all seriousness, I do think that the newer BMWs don’t have the personality they used to, except the M cars, those are always appreciated.

I was surprised by the friendliness of older BMW drivers earlier this year. The first time I drove my E32 after buying it this spring, and older guy in another E32 drove by and gave me a wave in the first 5 minutes after buying it. It caught me off guard.
