Buddy of mine had one of these in College... God what a piece... The windsheild wipers ran off the vaccuum pump connected to the engine or something like that (rather than an electric motor). So on snowy nights, when you’d go to pass someone and hit the gas to do so, the vaccuum pressure or whatever wouldn’t be available for the wipers- and so they’d stop while the truck was at wot.... while you were trying to pass cars... in bad weather.... freaking deathtrap.
