But they had Aliens, Thunderball, and Casino Royale amongst the in-flight films. I’ve flown across the Atlantic on far more luxurious airlines, but I’ve never had a flight where the time passed so quickly.

Thunderball is a really underrated Bond movie.

It’s sort of a weirdly paced film. I had never noticed it before, but this time I was looking at the time to judge how much of my flight was left. It’s almost an hour before the plot proper takes off.

I like it and think it has some great seat pieces, even if I have no idea what’s going on in half of the underwater sequences.

I’m sorry but “Aer Lingus” sounds really, um, naughty .

I pay like 6.3gbp per beer around my neck of the woods so really that’s not too shabby.

I’m a fan of Aer Lingus. We flew them on the way to Ireland when I was twelve. It ended up being a flight that was less than half full on a wide body plane, so everyone got their own row of seats. The real reason I liked it was the movies, as they showed a couple of unedited R-rated ones. While they were not great movies, the twelve year old me got a kick out of watching a couple of movies that I would not have otherwise gotten to see at that age. My parents may not have been as pleased, but I was happy little camper.

Where did your flight leave from?
