It’s only bad if you’re trading an MG.
I like them. Wouldn’t pay three digits for one, but I like them.

You can only do this if your name is Karen and you are trading in an MG to get it.

I drove one exactly once and was more than happy to hand it back.
Borrowed from a family member when we moved to WA back in 2006, and I recall it had under 100k miles at the time.

Just fixed an immaculate, 60k mile 95 LeBaron GTC Convertible, red on black. Garage kept it’s entire life, amazing condition. Still a pile of shit. I remember when these were new, they were piles of shit then, too. Anemic engine, with a questionable quality slushbox hanging off the back, and a rather numb and disconnected feel to drive. People that complain about the plastic-y/plastic quality interiors of current cars should drive one of these for a week. It creaks and pops more than a wooden roller coaster. OEM body parts are rapidly becoming discontinued as well.
It’s a bad idea. Sorry.

I admit, they look alright. But damn, what a horrible drive. Just sloppy as hell. I remember feeling like i could not get the seat high enough to see comfortably over the dash. I’m relatively short at 5'7", but still...

It’s a stupid idea. They’re awful. When was the last time you saw one on the road?

I don’t get the complaints about plastic interiors these days. It’s like, do these people realize what the plastics were line before?

Tbh, how many cars wouldn’t you pay two digits for?
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

It’s. it a bad idea, just kind of a lame one. I know an older guy that just bought a super low miles one for 1500 bucks. It’s his summer time ride, his 250,000 mile 92 Buick Centry relighted to winter duty.

I’m with you on this one. Not sure why, but I always thought they looked good in the 80s (and 90s apparently). Although the white wheels on this one have not aged well. Black them out.
The lineage runs deep....

I think it would look good with a drop, spacers and a good tune on the turbo engine. A manual swap is a must, if possible.

Wait a minute... when did Lebarons have a full width tail light? I believe that only only one block of lights on either side of the main tail lights actually light up...

These were terrible cars when they were new, and time has not been kind to them. Frame a poster, buy a less terrible car, live without regrets.

I guess you never got them in Oz (lucky), but they were pieces of crap. That picture you found makes it look desirable for sure, but once you sat down inside one you’d be overcome by it’s cheapness.
