That is a downright SENSUAL shape. Ford Fusion Coupe Aston Martin DB9 is a close second
The GT40 looks lovely as well.
Whelp that’s it for today’s episode of “cars that stir Jake’s pants-bits”. I’m going to need a moment of quiet reflection.

If I couldn’t afford a 911 I would have no quarrels with “settling” for a well-optioned Cayman.

I still think the Cayman is far better looking.

Some of the early 981's are starting to drop down under the $40k line.

They look good, but honestly they are huge! I remember when they first came out. I saw one on the freeway. I was in the vette and was blown away by how much higher the belt line was. It just looked huge from inside my car.

I walked past all the 911s in the showroom and “settled” into a new Cayman GTS just fine. You would be well served with your choice!

I don’t doubt it.

I was super close to taking out a loan for one of these, the prices seem to keep climbing. Bought a house instead so it’s going to be quite some time (and probably more expensive for it). There are no bad angles on this car and I’d buy one without an engine just to let it sit in my garage so I could stare at it.
This is my dream “forever” car, and more in line with your post as it’s a bit more exotic. I will own one, it’s just a matter of when. Again, no bad lines and my god I’d just stare at it I could. I’ve got a 5 year plan!

GOD yes. The RX7 is a fantastically timeless design. One of the best from the 90s, easily. Audi makes very few cars I don’t utterly love the design of, and the R8 has been one of my favorite designs since they came out. R8 V10 is one of my dream cars.

I’ve loved the R8 since it came out as well! I finally laid eyes on one (or three actually but only one up close, a V10 no less!) this past summer at a semi-local event, gated 6-speed and all. It’s an incredible well designed car, as is the FD RX-7. I also saw my first FD RX-7 in the flesh at that same event. All I’ve got is this janky picture of it parked next to my brothers car later that evening:
Your new exhaust sounds good by the way!

I got to drive a co-worker’s Cayman S, and it was splendid. I wasn’t a big fan of the PDK, but it does shift FAST. The car is also gorgeous.
One of the participants in our autocross club has a GT3 RS, and this year got himself a GT4. (Yes, he’s clearly done very well for himself). I asked him how he liked one over the other. The GT3 is clearly much faster, but he was really loving the GT4 for the balance.
