Let’s hope it works.
I’d post a picture, but I don’t want to be glib or disrespectful.

Well it does cause memory loss, so there’s that.

I knew a guy in the Army in the late 80s who lived his life on Ecstacy. I heard somewhere that MDMA permanently rewires your brain.

I think it effectively destroys it.

Maybe it’s kind of like fentanyl, a minuscule amount is good but a tiny amount is terrible.

I suffer from PTSD and welcome any treatment options available.

I’m still waiting, hoping for ketamine to be approved as a treatment for depression.

I do too, but mine is manageable.

Mine is too, for the most part. I feel for the guys and gals that can’t manage. I’m not saying MDMA is the cure-all, but at least they are exploring different avenues than just throwing prozac at people.

Huh, if this becomes a thing I can see it going the same route pot has, sketchy doctors writing more or less anyone a prescription for it.

Perhaps, as with opioids.

It’s not something you take to manage symptoms like you do with pot, it’s something you would use while talking to a therapist that allows you to relive/talk through a traumatic experience without your fight or flight response hijacking your brain.

From what I remeber from biochemistry, overdosing (the amount you need to get high on ecstasy is effectively an overdose) causes a bunch of signal generators and receptors in your brain to overload and blowout. You can cause some mild “brain death” through overuse of it. People who did large doses on a daily basis lead.....very muted and troubled lives afterwards. Scary stuff.

No I understand that, I’m saying as in doctors being legally allowed to write prescriptions for it, and those looking to make some side money will do so. Like for example anybody can see a “pot doctor”, pay forty bucks, and have a medical marijuana card.
Edit: Didn’t read “while talking to a therapist” right. If it’s only allowed to be used while talking to a therapist then yeah that would definitely be a better way of going about it.

It’s the only way it would actually help you deal with trauma.

I certainly don’t understand what it’s like to have PTSD or even the science behind this potentially helping, but if it helps I’m all for it!
