I went to school with a kid with a built one, I use that term loosely. I may or may not have stoplight dragged him in my parents Trailblazer. I won. I never had b-series dreams.

I was a VTEC hipster with the B17A in my ’92 GSR. I was also in college by the time I bought it in 2001.

The only VTEC Honda I have driven was my friends 2000 Civic. It was probably mostly due to the auto but I didn’t really notice it. I didn’t notice anything with the VVTi system in my Corolla either. The VANOS system in my Mini though, holy hell that thing wakes up and kicks you at about 4200 rpm. I don’t know why because R50 dyno sheets show a nice smooth power curve and don’t gain an extra 30+ HP at ~4k.

I honestly don’t know. What came in a 2006 LE with an auto?

First car was a 96 DC2 GSR, I worked 3 jobs and added Hondata, ITR cams, Comptech header. AEM intake, Skunk2 intake manifold, hi flow cat, adjustable cam gears, prothane master kit, Tein Flex coil overs, Rota Slipstreams, Falken Azenis, poly engine mounts. It was pro tuned and redlined at 9200 rpm... that thing was a riot for a first car. Fast and Furious memories haha.

Why do I have to remember? I have half of the equation already. Watching ErictheCarGuy build his engine over the past couple of weeks has got me itching to build another engine myself. I don’t think I wan’t to modify my current Civic because it is too clean and too original. I will probably buy an shitty EG hatch to modify and fix just to have a project.
