I Bought A Ridgeline So I Never Spill My Latte Again

“I’m so thankful that my new “truck” rides just like a minivan so I can drink my hot latte in blissful peace as I drive to my comfortable desk. My archaic 2015 half-ton truck rode so rough I couldn’t stop by Starbucks for my favorite hot latte, but I will never have that problem again! Oh and the interior was positively awful, it didn’t seem as nice as my new truck.”

Kinja'd!!!

Riding down a bumpy oil field road in this made it almost impossible to drink my coffee without some of it ending up on my coveralls.

left foot braking will do that to you the first few times.

But I think what makes the old (ford) half ton and up even better is that the cup holders were so terrible. You put something like that latte in the little flip out thing, it’s going to fall out regardless of how the truck rides.

Still, you should get some kind of floor liners like the Husky ones in your picture. At least for winter, they’re great.

This take seems a bit too hot to drink right now.

I’m so glad that you can now drink your mocha choco bullshit skinny soy latte without worrying about it spilling on your salmon Capri pants.

Should have bought a ridgeline. It can do everything your truck can do only with more mocha latte in your stomach and a nicer interior.

You should have gotten a 2016 F150 like I did, so I can have the ability to tow 2,000lb more than your Ridgeline, not that I will actually tow anything on my way to work every day because I bought a truck even though I really didn’t need it and will only use it for trips to Home Depot. But the confidence boost I get from driving around and having people think I’m a real man because I have a pickup truck is second-to-none. I got a raise at work, other guys buy me beers at the bar, and my wife has never been so sexually satisfied now that I have a real pickup truck.

Wait...so did you actually buy a Ridgeline, or are you just making fun of something I missed completely? Or just yourself? I’m confused...

I just went on the Husky Liners site and this is disturbing.

Kinja'd!!!

They do get extra points for throwing a 3.5" floppy disk in there though.

Also, I just bought WeatherTech mats for my car very recently, northamericanparts.com has the lowest WeatherTech prices I found and they’re running a promo code on WeatherTech: WTFLASH15.

For your Ridgeline, the Husky rear liner is one piece with holes in it for the flip-up rear seat posts to go through, whereas WeatherTech gives you a floor mat and a separate under-seat mat. Not sure which one would be more appealing to you.

I don’t drive a ridgeline, but I appreciate you taking the time to look! And the promo code is amazing!

I’m just making fun of the Ridgeline comments I see everywhere. Seems like every review or comment points to how this truck is the best truck because it rides better than a half-ton or any other midsize and also has a nicer interior. Two things that matter little to the truck market...

Completely joking. This is exactly why I hate all of the love the Ridgeline gets from all the journalists that can’t see past a “nice” interior and a car like ride.

The worst part is the 5' bed, my 07 F250 has a the 6 3/4' bed which to me is perfect, can still fit an 8 ft board corner to corner.

This was always my confusion with the Ridgeline. I mean, if I want a truck, I want a truck, right? I’m not a truck kind of guy, though, so I was not in the know.

Thanks!

Yes, 5 foot is pretty small. The 6 3/4' bed is one of the best sizes for that exact reason.

Right. If you want a truck then you deal with all that it includes such as a bouncy ride and an interior built for work. It’s the same thing when you buy a sports car, you give up some things to gain others.

Don’t forget about the part where you can now bench press an extra 75 pounds by buying an F-150. If you get the diesel F-250, you can bench another 150 lbs!
