For the poor stoned guys in Richmond - who were denied their right to fair and equal cheese, duw to a stoned employee freak out session.

Kinja'd!!!

No but seriously, that story is hilarious. Because I know exactly what had happened there.

PS: Any “it was totally racism” detractors - the dude himself posted on FB about how it wasn’t a big deal and that they story has been misconstrued as racism. CVS is a crazy place in the middle of the night. And it doesn’t do well for future job prospects if you admit to smoking a joint on local TV that goes viral. So it makes sense why they haven’t said exactly what happened. I think everyone wants to just move on.

Sometimes a simple grilled cheese is all you need in the world. But this grilled cheese became a Harold and Kumar movie.

I read that there was some suspicious folks in the store earlier that day.

My only guess over the nutty behavior of the employees is that these two dudes fit the description or something?

Why the hell else would you fucking hide in a saferoom after someone asks if they have sliced cheese?

Why would you ask them to leave afterwards? They obviously weren’t there to rob the place, otherwise they would have cleaned out the store while the staff were wetting their pants behind a locked door.

So many questions.

I think there was a lot of cannabis involved and a super paranoid set of employees. (Be honest, it’s not that unlikely the CVS night crew shared some before their shift) I think asking them to leave was probably just to ease the person who was freaking out. Maybe they even went to the back and the other employee was calming them down after they called the 5-0. It’s just as bad for me to infer random stuff as the people who think it was racism, though. Regardless, I really feel like there were no hard feelings afterwards from the way the guy talks about it.
