As reported by the Wall Street Journal. I’d rather have a $10,000 car and $100,000 in the bank, TYVM.

“Starts” at $599... In spite of the recent economic strifes of our nation, we have plenty of people who obviously are doing just fine.

I wonder if the base is $599, but the one with the good stuff is $1899.
I also have to wonder if it qualifies for tax break that can be called questionable at best.
Ryder and Rockwell, that will be fun.

What recent economic strifes? Unless you’re going back to ‘08, the country as a whole isn’t doing so bad. Currency is in good shape, unemployment rate is below 5%, gas prices are low, interest rates are low, NASDAQ/NYSE/S&P500 are all doing well...
There are some significant problems as well, like healthcare costs, and a stagnating middle class, but we aren’t really struggling a ton as a country.

The problem is that, in real terms, since 2008, almost all of the “recovery” has gone to the top. So, population-weighted, we’re struggling. Dollar-weighed, we aren’t.

Meh. Like I said, the middle class is stagnant right now, but all of the things I mentioned for being positive are good for the average Joe. The outlook isn’t great , but it’s not a time of great strife, unless you’re too young to remember ‘08, ‘00, and other recent recession periods. The problem with a $600 toy is that it’s stupid, not that no one can afford it. If that were the case, we wouldn’t be looking a record-breaking Black Friday in the eye. Consumer confidence is up.
