I understand the front and rear window. But why the license plate and side windows?

License plate so it’s easier to identify cars.

The techs do their initial shakedown drive with the plastic still on. Source: Used to work for Jaguar/Land Rover dealer and this is how F-Types and Evoques arrivedo at the dealer. It is a nightmare driving them, though.

Leather needs a healthy dose of vitamin D to stay supple. Little known fact.

Stoner may have the official answer, but I was also going to say something slightly along those lines. I’ve seen some dealers unload in the street, I can see the front, back and side windows being clear, and a plate of some sort on it being a minimum to keep an overzealous local law enforcement ossifer at bay.

Wait, why do you understand the window? These covers aren’t for driving

They have to pull the vehicles onto the trucks somehow. Also someone said they do first drives off the truck with them on.

Oh I assumed they’d be winched. Good luck getting in/out of the car with those beams in the way + a car cover
