Might be perspective. There honestly wasn’t much more to late 60's F1 cars than thin aluminum scaffolding around the driver’s legs. Plus there seems to be a slight downhill and the pic quality blurs the difference between the front and rear tires.

Judging from the new asphalt and the number font on the 6 I think that’s Watkins Glen right before François Cevert was killed.
