One likes gnawing on people, doors, everything, and is hyperactive. The other is more relaxed, slightly racist and sexist (not as much as she used to be, at least!), and enjoys snuggling.

Mine are pretty chill too. Unless there is a rabbit in the backyard. Then they go nuts.

Tolerant older sibling right now. Got a3 year old and a one year old, and she loves them both. Also very protective of them both, such is great considering she’s a 105 lb lab mix

We’re still learning each other, since we’ve only had her a couple weeks. But we know she likes to eat things that aren’t food, and she reeeeeeally misses us when we leave, as evidenced by the destroyed blinds and lightly chewed door trim...

The big dog is super protective, but is very gentle. I can stick my hand in her mouth, even when playing rough, and she won’t bite down.
The little dog was bred to be a foot warmer. We didn’t believe it at first, but he will come over and sit on your feet unbidden. He also hates to be picked up. He’s a strange little dog.
Oh, the big one is a lab mix and the little one is a purebred King Charles Cavalier Spaniel.

Camera-shy. They’re not my dogs, but they’re good dogs. They love adventures (especially adventures involving car rides), naps, chasing cats, getting scratched, and eating.

My dog is part Nissan GT-R. Heavy but unbelievably fast when he goes into full Race mode (ears down and tail tucked back).
He also hasn’t realized that the neighborhood cats don’t want to be friends with him.

My dog is a cat taking a nap on the couch between my legs while I take a picture of him with the terrible camera on my tablet that’s not being helped by the one and only dim light on in the living room right now.
He’s snoring too.

He’s pretty bummed right now. Keeps sniffing around the yard looking for his sis. Normally he’s chill and a little timid. He’s sitting watching Spectre with me right now.

Ellie keeps me on my toes; she’s energetic, nearly non stop, incredibly vocal and extremely intelligent yet hard headed. I have to keep a newspaper rolled up, but she’s only about a year old and learns very quickly. She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body and shadows my every move. I got her from the local shelter a few months ago and absolutely love her.
Even threw a shout out to ACDC with her nickname.

I lost my best dog ever, in Dec. Clyde was shy and scared, but loved to act like the bravest meanest dog, at least as long as someone else was in front if him. Once he accepted you though, you were his whole world, he had the biggest heart. When I would go out he followed me everywhere, the other dogs follow me just long enough to see what I was up to, but he would stay right there by my side. He was just a few weeks shy of 3yo. Likely was injured playing with the other dogs. Was initially diagnosed with Pancreatitis. Then we learned he had a slipped disk that was paralyzing him. His spinal injury was spreading, we think due to the pancreatitis. We were ready to spend $7k on surgery to fix his spine with an 80% likelihood of success. But then as they saw he had lost all feeling in his hind quarters it dropped to 50%, and when they saw the point of paralysis was moving up it became 10%. Up until that last diagnosis if the operation did not work, it mostly meant he would be in a cart. But with the paralysis spreading, if it got to his lungs, he would die, and there was nothing they could do to say how far it might spread. But he was already showing signs of labored breathing. So we had to make the gut wrenching call to put him down. I don’t think I have ever been so distraught as I was that day. Only thing I can think of that would be worse is loosing a child, because he was almost like a child to me, and like a child he was still so young.
His Sister Bonnie, clearly wonders where he has gone, but I think she sort of understands, as she often barks at his grave sight. She is shy as well, but has gotten better as she has gotten older. She was always Clyde’s security blancket, so she had to be the one to check things out first to let him know it was safe. She loves to run, and she is a very fast runner. she can lap the 2 acres of fenced yard faster than my car can get to 60. And she always seems to have another gear to up the speed. She and her brother were Porto Rican dogs, listed as part Hound part terrier. The Hound we believe to be Rhodesian Ridgeback, as they looked like small Rhodesians. No clue where they get Terrier. She’s the leaders of our Pack, but often needs a little special 1 on 1 time, especially now that she has lost her Brother.
The younger 2 are also brother and sister, supposed to be half black lab, and half Doberman. Thia, seems to have gotten all the Doberman, hard to tell she is not purebred Doberman. Only dog I know with a keen sense of humor, and an ego. She knows she is smart and she loves to show it off. If she wants your seat she will trick you, try to get you to let her out, or get up to get her food, what ever she thinks will work. You stand up and she takes your seat. Best of all she will smile at you about how clever she is. Seriously she smiles, it’s technically called a submissive Grin, google it. If you trip, she smiles at you and wags her tail. Watch out for that tail, I see why they crop Doberman tails. It is a deadly whip. She has learned to open the door to let herself in on her own. Working on teaching her to close the door. She loves to race Bonnie, but she has to take short cuts, and even then Bonnie will just step up the pace. Just do not try to kiss her, or expect her to lick you face. She will growl at you if she thinks your trying to kiss her, although she has learned to tolerate it a little. If she really loves you, she will like the air in front of you face. And then hang her head in shame for allowing the uncontrolled moment of affection. If she should accidently lick you face, she really acts disturbed.
Damon is the most chill dog ever. Incredibly smart, but you have to get to know him to realize it. He actually taught his sister to open the door, and lets her let him into the house. He’s nearly figured out how to operate door knobs. He has the right idea, uses his nose to try and turn the knob, but gives up when it does not work first try. He’s also trying to figure out how to operate my truck. Not sure what he would do if he learned how, he gets horribly car sick. I’d guess he’d go find some food, as that seems to be where he focuses most his brain power. But mostly he loves to sleep. It’s only if Bonnie is barking at something outside that he is eager to go, and once he gets moving watch out as he does not corner, or stop very well. He’s the slowest of our dogs by a significant amount, and he hates that. He whimpers and whines as he try’s to catch up to the other dogs.
I think Damon and Thia may be part cat. She spends hours grooming herself, just like a cat. And Damon, loves to sleep like a cat.
They are all fantastic dogs, all with very distinct personalities. That keep us laughing.
