I was surprised to see the embers, you would have thought they would have used some of the funnel designs from steam locomotives that trapped most of the embers. Would have done the farmer no good to catch his field on fire.

I’ve seen similar traction motors running/pulling, they don’t normally billow embers like that. I’d guess this one has been modified fairly heavily for pulling like is above

They own all manner of brands including Ford’s old tractor division (they keep the blue colour but use the New Holland name).
As to why they have a Dutch name, are quoted on the New York and Milan exchanges, are controlled by an Italian shareholder and are based in London I’m afraid I can’t enlighten you (although tax may be involved).
