She even loves her shitty van! We talk about how gasoline runs in Jessi’s family’s veins all the way back to her great grandmother, how Jessi learned welding and fabrication, her time at !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , and her car history, from its inauspicious beginnings to her current Toyota Tundra pre-runner and, of course, The Shitty Van. They also discuss how she got involved with Mythbusters, her off-road racing career, the challenges of being “a woman in a man’s world,” and whether we’re seeing a paradigm shift with more and more women becoming car enthusiasts. Finally, we discuss terrible rental cars, interesting accidents, and, as usual, adventures in eating

I went to the same school, so by extension I say that makes her at least honorary.

I met her last year, even wrote a little about her. She’s awesome, all the way. Super cool, super chill. The only thing that got me a little was that because it was a larger event, she was too used to posing, and it was super hard to get her to be natural for candid shots. I landed a couple when she was getting aggravated with the car, but even with that, she’s a great sport, and it was amazing to actually meet her. Wouldnt mind meeting her again and have a chance to sit down and chat in the future.

I agree so much, a lot of what people seem to want to use her for is not what her real skill set is. While she’s a attractive women, her brain and skill set should be the star of any presentation she does. She is super charming, easy to talk to and funny. Did you meet her at sema?

She was very patient with you, Ike - haha!
Jessi’s audio was really good, but for some reason yours sounded muffled (and I don’t think it was just your uvula).

First let me thank you for listening, and even more so for giving Feed back, It’s my favorite part of doing this honestly.
She really was patient with me and she was quite charming the entrie interview. Yeah I sound muffled because I had to take out a ton of weird noises I was making, as a side effect it muffled me out a bit. But better then hearing weird uvula noises. ( Ever hear one whack the top of a mouth? It’s not a pleasant noise)
So sorry for my audio quality, I should find a clip of my uvula noise and just post that lol

She’s clearly a Midwestern, salt of the earth type of gal (I just typed “gal” - I must be old). Someone for my daughter to aspire to be like. And she was even more patient than I realized, now that I know you edited out lots of uvula noises - haha!
Keep up the good work scoring interviews with great people!
