In my last post, I said my 2002 Forester died. I didn’t mention that the engine blew.

Not my image (car is still in my sister’s driveway), but when you look under the hood, this is what greets you:

Not good.

I test drove a WRX on Sunday. The salesman was awful, I said I wasn’t looking to buy that day (which nearly everyone says) and I told him my situation (daily commute, needs car fast) but he didn’t even try.... I was literally the ideal customer.

You know how people drill holes in pedals to save weight? It’s like that.

It’s funny how most people would think you had an awesome salesman because he didn’t pressure you into a car.

How many miles? You’re not helping my impression of Subaru reliability.

I’ve never seen one throw a rod like that. I’ve warped heads etc.. but that’s some crazy shit right there.

That’s a familiar sight lately... Seriously, the shop I work at - not even a Subaru shop! - has had 6 or 7 Subarus in the last month that needed stupidly-involved repairs. It’s like we did one, fixed it, then the rest followed suit. 3 engines all run-low on oil and either threw a rod or grenaded themselves (though the 2011 Forester got towed to a dealer because apparently there’s a class-action suit and special coverage on sudden rapid oil consumption leading to catastrophic failure), 4 transmissions, 2 catalytic converters, and a wiring harness. Oh, and an oil change on a 2014 XV Crossbred Hybrid that had malfunctioning seat heaters.

/rant

Sorry, I’m just so done with Subarus this year. They’re like the new VAG cars of goofball problems and expensive fixes.

Right? This is like Louie’s bit where he takes the drunk girl home who kept telling him “no” and the next day she’s like “Why didn’t we have sex?” and he’s like “You said no” and she’s like “Well, yeah, but I wanted you to, you know, just go for it?” “You wanted me to rape you on the off chance that that was your kink???”
