Need to start making a list of everything I need for a TSD rally I’m doing Saturday. Should be a lot of fun, it will be my second rally (the first one I went to was a disaster but we still had fun). Any TSD folks around here with some suggestions on necessities? I’m planning on doing a full write up after the rally for those of you who haven’t tried it before. I’m pretty excited because we will be on the tulip 200 and sundowner 400 rally stage roads.

Our local TSD organization only requires an emergency reflector triangle and to have everything in the back ratchet-strapped down.

I usually add a fire extinguisher, a pair of good flashlights, one of those USB battery packs and a few bottles of water and granola bars.

If you burn a lot of fluids, bring more fluids. If you wear glasses, bring a spare pair of glasses. Don’t forget to piss when you’re waiting for another stage to begin.

Wow hard core. Actually though I’ll probably ratchet all my tools down in the back I was wondering how to deal with that stuff moving in hard cornering and braking.

I placed third in the Novice class with my driver in our local TSD organization’s championship a few years ago - hella fun! :)

Bring a calculator and a good stopwatch! Not sure if your local organization mixes up the instructions or not for the more advanced class, but if so, bring your wits! :P

As you’ve done one before, speeding is NOT your friend in most cases, remember TSD is travelling a set distance in a pre-scouted amount of time, so if you speed too much it’s hard to guess how much to slow down to be on time! :P

Check out this app. It is EXTREMELY helpful. You can sync the clock to atomic/GPS which makes it more accurate than the time on your phone. The paid version is expensive, around $35. A bit steep, but in my opinion it’s well worth it. You can also buy a month license for around $5 within the app.

Oh the other thing, are there any good hundredth of minute clock apps out there? The rally isn’t using seconds.
