Considering this as a new winter car. Looks surprisingly good for a 1993.

Kinja'd!!!

It has the 170 hp V6, full time four wheel drive and four wheel steering along with lots of other equipment. Driven 221000 km in a salt free environment, but only 3000 km the last three years. Recently passed inspection, but has to go back in in April because of silly rules. Price is approximately $3500, can probably get it down to $3000.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

What can possibly go wrong?

Galant VR-4s are awesome. That thing would sell for a lot more in the U.S., probably $10k+

That’s no VR-4. Afaik the Galant was never offered in that trim here in Europe. Still not a bad car.

I’d say go for it if you can get it for €3.000,-.

Was it offered in that V6 4x4 trim in Germany? The car was imported to Norway in 1994, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a similar one.

There’s no 4wd V6 Galant for sale in Germany so I’d say no. I think Germany only recieved the 2.0 V6 with 150hp but I could be wrong.

Ah okay. I didn’t read into it beyond 4wd V6 Galant. haha Glazed over the hp rating. Weird.

Looking at the lineup in the Netherlands the top of the line was a 150 hp FWD 2.0 V6 for the sedan, but for the hatch there was an AWD 170 hp 2.5L V6 as well.

Survival rates for the Galant are very low (rust + disposability + expensive parts (I owned a ‘97 earlier this year)). I struggle to find more than a few Galants of that generation and certainly can’t find a 2.5.

I think they were sold here, at least in some countries. Most VR-4s you see on roads nowadays are jdm imports though.

There are a few VR-4 Galants and Legnum wagons for sale in Europe which are totally droolworthy.

The ones for sale in Germany are all rhd models and I’ve never seen a lhd VR-4 here. Then again, I have no real idea. With that said, I really want a VR-4.
