Since I’ll hopefully(sort of) be on vacation(at where I thought I had escaped) next week, might as well keep a couple hundred miles off of Kona. And I’ll be missing the day on which I’ve had the Slowrunner for 5 years, so might as well put some miles on it now.
Also, Kona should be at 12,000 miles by the end of next week. Hopefully after taxes come in the miles will climb a bit faster, since I think I’ll be able to squeeze out the Potenzas until then, then WHEEL/TIRE TIME!

The second gen only really looks aggressive from head-on. Downright friendly from the back IMO
I do agree that the front does a perfect job of being aggressive without being annoying(esp with fog lights)

I think it looks fairly aggressive still, but the lift helps. You just have to look at it from the edge to see the flares.

Fair. The lifted stance makes anything look more aggressive. Also blue is a pretty non-aggressive color.

I loved/love everything about about my past 1994 and my current 1995 project, except the 3.0 V6. I have one of the “good” motors that didn’t destroy it’s head gasket in an irreparable and frequent manner. It is still a motor that makes a bunch of noise, just not much power, or mpgs. My 1994 was a 5 speed and I am interested to compare the 1995's automatic.
My answer to the motor complaints in the 1994, after a remove the engine rear main seal repair, was to drop in a 3.4 engine out of a 1999 Tacoma. Even better noise, power, and if I could keep the right foot out of the gas for the most part better mpg. Depending on what goes on with the current 1995 maybe a Lexus V8 swap, that would be pretty cool!

A 1UZ is in the future plans. My 3.slow has had gasket failure, but we did it right and rebuilt/resurfaced the heads when thry were replaced. No problems in the past 4 years, at least related to the engine.

What did you do for your a lift on the Slowrunner? I have tentative plans to go with a mild Old Man Emu lift similar to my old 1994 below (sold it to my friend who helped to the 3.4 swap).
Solid axle swap would be way down the list currently, the OME lift gets it driveable much faster than more downtime of the solid axle project. Mrs. osucycler wants to have a fun, play, don’t worry about it car, i.e. Lazurus the green 1995 4Runner.

Honestly, I bought mine with one. The suspension was brand new when I picked it up, but it is a 4" Pro Comp.
