Yes, it is running at only 20 FPS on low settings with car detail set to medium and anisotropic filtering turned on. But it’s bearable, and its great to not have to walk to the living room, turn my Xbox on and whatnot, then finally play. Plus it’s portable.

... why don’t you just stream it to your PC?

You would probably have a better experience streaming it from your xbox to the xbox app on your PC.

That... that sounds really awful. Just stream the game from your Xbox to your PC. You’ll get an actual framerate.

Oh, I’ve tried that. Unfortunately, my connection has difficulty supporting it and has incredible lag, while the resolution is even lower than playing locally. Plus, again, I can bring this with me outside of home and play when I travel.
However, perhaps I should give streaming another try.

Yeah, I’ve tried that. It’s laggy and low-quality, plus having it locally means that I can travel and play or play without a connection. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

I’m really mad I can’t get this game (I only have a PS4), even if it played badly. My regular PC is so catastrophically bad that it can barely play Minecraft at low settings and has been almost completely replaced by the Chromebook I’m writing this on.

Forza Horizon 2 was the reason why I chose Xbox over PS4. That, and also the abhorrent dearth of racing games available for that system.

I really recommend playing games from older consoles on your PC.
PPSSPP is the easy option, but Dreamcast works a treat once you can set it up.
As for the new stuff, some games are generally better optimised than others. For example DiRT 3 was on offer not too long ago and when I got it on Steam, it ran really smoothly. This was on my laptop which doesn’t even have a graphics card and yet I didn’t need to even change the settings.
Again, that’s not going to work for this game, but there’s always plenty of good games out there which work on a lesser PC.

Also, because I’m an asshole -
1080p 60fps on a mix of high/ultra. You should get a good PC. It’s better than Xbox.

Only reason I’d enjoy this is for situations when my wife wants to watch TV in living room and I want to play Xbox (in living room). But I have no desire to own a big desktop gaming rig and gaming laptops are meh so....

Eh. I’d like to have something I can bring around. Plus I’m more of a casual gamer.

I mean, this is not going to supersede my Xbox in any way. It’s just an alternative that I can use when traveling or if I’m just lazy.

I’m seriously considering an Xbone just for Horizon. I am extremely excited for GT Sport, though. I also thoroughly enjoyed Driveclub.

erm. there is an app for window 10 that lets you control the xbox over Wifi and just see the screen on your PC. I did it all the time over the summer.
