We had a high end dog door installed through an exterior wall of our house for them. It is not latched in this picture. All they have to do is push through and they can’t  figure it out.

Today, we take the Sunchaser to Merced where my son will be performing with the school jazz band - he has a big guitar solo! Merced is a really nice small city.

Dog and car content in the same Oppo post!

When we first got a dog door we had to encourage ours to go through both ways with treats for about a week.

Meanwhile we have a screen door that leads outside and one of our dogs made a doggie door by jumping through it. At first, she would wait to use it. Now, as soon as we open the main door, she goes right through it in and out. So, we can’t patch it...

Lol, the day we moved to Florida, my Mom called our dogs when we were in the screened in porch. She didn’t really think that through. It didn’t even slow them down.

I have one dog that knows how to open the gates on the fence so we have to keep them locked. She also knows that she can push the back door open if it doesn’t latch. She’ll nose open her crate too if it’s closed but not latched and she wants in.

I have another that knows how to grab and pull the baby gate open if it’s not properly latched and she’ll do the same to a crate or any similar door. She knows the back door open method too.

I have one that knows how to open things but won’t bother unless food is involved.

And then there’s my biggest who would not attempt to open or go through anything unless it just happened to on his way to bark at something.
