Shouldn’t that Astra be a Holden over there? Weird that a RHD car has an Opel badge, as far as I know the only market that gets them like that is South Africa.

Opel were sold in Australia as a seperate brand for approx 12 months.
they were set to launch the Zafira when they announced they were shutting up shop. i work at a Holden dealer and we ended up with 126 new Opels. sold like hotcakes, at cheap prices. they just didn’t sell enough, quickly enough. marketing boffins thought people know the Opel name so let’s try and make it a little “premium” plus they only had dealers in major cities not all over. they only imported less than 100 Zafiras
