Turbocharging Was the Best Damn Thing to Ever Happen to Ferrari

I’m in love with the 488 GTB, the California T is an actual Ferrari now, and I have zero doubts that the GTC4Lusso T will be better than the V12. Seriously, I feel like Ferrari is becoming the “Ferrari” I thought they were as a kid. EVO did a fantastic job on these videos, but you can’t watch the 675LT (even with Jethro) and 488 GTB videos back to back and tell me the 488 doesn’t stir your very soul with how brutal the performance is compared to the elegance it moves with. Like Audrey Hepburn with a chainsaw.

I don’t know why but there isn’t a single McLaren I really yearn for. For some reason they seem too clinical and “common” in some way. Obviously I haven’t driven one, but I have seen a couple up close and they still make me think why someone would buy it over any other supercar.

A Ferrari tingles my inner child in all the right places, and that is something I would want every time I drove or even just looked at my supercar.

I can but to be honest, I’ve never liked Ferrari’s mid engined cars and most likely never will. Also I’d rather have the LT but then again I’d rather have the LT over pretty much any supercar of late.

Something about McLaren comes across as very German to me. Mostly the design and performance. The design is great looking but cold and the performance is extremely great, class leading in most situations. None of those are traits for a British make. The 570S seems extremely British to me though compared to the 650S.

Very cold, because even the Germans seem to be way more interesting. The 570s GT or however is called does seem cool IMO.

It was? I’m pretty sure the F12 Berlinetta is awesome as well without needing spooling help. :P

I do like that they can do both NA & turbo applications without one suffering over the other. Now if we can do something about their pricing....

Honestly, I think where turbos don’t make sense are small engines. In those cars, there isn’t torque fill until the boost comes on. In a v8, you don’t want full power instantly because you will break traction.

I feel you. I don’t think they are exciting enough (and supercars are all opinions, since they are all absurdly fast.) I’d rather have a Lamborghini. The market is much more crowded than a decade ago.

I think I’d have a Lambo as well. It doesn’t help that the designs are pretty similar.
