My local Best Buy had HP 27es monitors for $120 each. Bought two of them.

Oh man. A coworker was looking at TVs today (which I have no desire for) but I hadn’t thought of monitors. I’ll have to take a look! Could get some for the racing seat

Inch-for-inch yeah, but (to me) a normal TV is like 32-48" or more and I can’t see using a monitor much if any over 24"
You can get a very nice 24" monitor for the price of a 50" tv :)

What resolution? I’m looking at possibly upgrading to some type of 1440p IPS to replace my 27" 1080p LG.

I’m really hoping a 34" ultrawide comes down enough for me to have to pull the trigger. I want one so bad but there’s so much other stuff I want :(
