Gettin some gas. Brought the camera, of course.

I dunno why I have this. I don’t even have a 3800 powered car. I’m considering cutting out the center section and making a spark plug wire cover out of it. And I just really like how these engine covers look. Might try taking a real good picture of it and turn it into a wallpaper of some sort.

Why not just hang the engine cover on the wall? It’d make a great piece of garage decor. Hell, start an engine cover collection. I could think of worse things to start with than a 3800 s/c cover.

Having any trouble with the gas pump shutting off early like that? Definitely put the nozzle parallel with the car and that problem will go away. I wish I could instruct the gas attendant to always do that but they generally dont speak much English so its frustrating (NJ is stupid).
And those appear to be HIDs? Which ones are you running? I just put some in my ‘01 and the OEM projector housings seem to work real well for that. It is nice to not blind people like I did in my Honda.

Yes. It always shuts off early and it is the most frustrating thing ever. By parallel you mean inline with the car? I’ll have to try that.
The headlights are just Sylvania Silverstar Ultra whatever the hells. I’m wanting to get LEDs like I had in my NA but I haven’t gotten around to dropping $150 on lights.

Yup, I have looked into the issue and apparently there is some TSB or whatever that can fix it (for $$$) but the gas pump inline with the car apparently solves it. I havent really been able to test it much since I am in NJ but everytime I fill up out of state it seems to work. However, the issue is also intermittent so I need more testing to really see that it works repeatedly. Some guys that I trust on Miata.net have sworn by that technique.
Ahh, they just looked like that typical whiter color you see with HIDs. I actually am really happy with the cheapo $40 set I found on Amazon, idk how I feel about LED headlights yet. The NB2 headlights though are a really good design for sure!
