Just wanted to talk about something other than politics.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

As you may know I bought my 82 Capri this past weekend. Crazy excited about it.

I’m surprised no one called this out, and I didn’t even realize it until the Sunday night while I was at home reviewing pics of the car.

There’s a new 5.0 Mustang lurking over the Capri’s shoulder at this Ohio Turnpike rest stop!

I had no idea it was there when I took the picture I was so focused on the Capri.

Man that would definitely top off the 80's vibe going on.

What it REALLY needs is a set of wheels with winter or gravel tires. Or if I can find them to fit, truck/suv all terrains so I can get it out on a rally course.

Hahaha! as soon as I get a bit better at driving manual, and a new set of wheels/tires for rally usage it’ll be off to the rallyX races!

Hahaha, trying to get away with nut cutting the opening bigger. I really like the lines of the car.

I’m trying to figure out what the most badass tire I can fit is right now.

Currently it has rear tires that are a bit over 27 inches.

If I had room for a 29 inch tire I could run Cooper AT3's which is what we have on our lifted Jeep Commander.

Measurements will have to be done.

Yeah, you’ll have a lot of suspension activity so rubbing will be more of an issue.

Neither can I!

It’s killing me because there’s TONS of RallyX this weekend.

There’s a day/night race on saturday and then another full session on sunday.

The day/night race is one of the coolest of the year - the second session is run completely in the dark!!!!

Thanks! Yeah, I’m over in Canton. I’m just practicing with the manual because while I was capable enough to drive it back from Cleveland, I’m in no way good at it because I’ve never owned one before. Then I need some wheels and tires and I’ll be throwing some dirt!

I’ve heard, and I happen to live within 2 miles of Ikea. Convenient.

I’ve also heard going to a Semi Truck grave junk yard and taking 1 semi flap will make all 4 for a car... I’m certainly going to need something heavy duty this thing is going to seriously fling some dirt with good tires on it.

There are about 5 locations around Metro Detroit that we run. Some are closer than others lol, 1 is actually over the border into Ohio in Wauseon.

I’d love to be ready for the January 7th race, we’ll see. If not I’m sure it’ll be a little while as we have another child arriving in the first week or two of February.

Motivated me enough to actually sell the Montego and buy the Capri RS which is going to be specifically for RallyX
