Maybe they found out it had to be zero emissions instead of just rounding DOWN to zero, you know, like our nutrition facts on the back of our food...ok, I’m done now.
Side note, shouldn’t there be a V6 Hybrid R8 to undercut the i8 and NSX?

Maybe it was too toxic when it burned.

It was actually cut because the germans - as hard as they tried - could not find a way to build an electric motor and battery system that consumed a quart of oil every 500 miles. Despite their best efforts, all the parts were simple, long-lasting, and easy to fix. It was also really easy to pull out the battery and indeed the whole motor assembly if something went wrong and slap in new ones. All of this enraged the engineers, of course, so shitcanning the project was the only real solution.

Side note: NO. Maybe there should be a small Rolls Royce to compete against the 5-Series?
Maybe Ferrari should make a large SUV to compete against the Escalade?
Maybe Bugatti should make a diesel wagon to make Jalops jizz?
NO NO NO.
