Exactly. I don’t care how finicky they are.

I really wanted an E39 M5, then when it came time to buy a car, I realized that at minimum it would be 10 years old (2013) and I would rather drive it on my few days off then have it in the shop, so I got an E90.

...is like a 2/4 door E39. Fattening up the product line worked out in the end.

when you do get the m5, promise me you’ll leave the flip flops for the beach. these are never appropriate footwear for a grown man.

God I love the shape of the E39. I really want to love the E60 just as much because I’m a huge V10 fan, but the looks just don’t do it for me. I love it in estate form, but the sedan is just kinda odd.
Absolutely nothing beats the E28 for me though. One of the coolest looking cars to come out of Germany if you ask me.

I figured the E90 was similar enough to the E39, plus warranty.

This is exactly why I want an E90 M3.

I mean it was the logical thing to do. Did you get one with the DCT?

I often wonder if I’d bought the E39 for $20k, how much more money I would’ve put into it. It wouldn’t have depreciated as much, that’s for sure! My car is a manual.

Probably another 20k. I just didn’t want to sink that much into when I could get a newer one with things like idrive for what I would’ve spent on a 10 year old car with almost 100k miles on it.

Another $20k over 4 years? I’d be shocked if true, and probably would’ve sold it before putting $10k more into it. I’m happy with my choice, because I could afford it and the E90 is far superior on the track or in the twisties. E39 is probably the better daily driver/dad-mobile.

I was probably over estimating it, but I did figure it’d need a new clutch and oil leaks would drive me crazy.

E34 is best.
