Gorgeous Datsun! I really like the lines on that generation of the Bluebird/411! :)

Those Triumphs are a rare find this side of the Atlantic. They only sold a handful. Great cars, though – the engine (a baby two-litre inline six) is an absolute gem, and they were advanced enough for the time (rack-and-pinion steering, power disc brakes, independent rear suspension) that they are pretty decent to drive.

I was silly enough to bring a (very rare) 2000 Estate to the US , so I might be slightly biased, though. If I didn’t have mine, I’d be sorely tempted by that one!

Oh yes. They’ve got quite the following in the UK.

My parents used to own a 2.5PI (with the competition-bred fuel injected engine). It was startlingly quick, on the rare occasions that the insanely complex mechanical injection system was working properly.

Get the Triumph! I can help with hopping it up and suchlike ;)

I’ve got a 2.5l injected version of the I6 to go in my Spitfire. It’s supposed to be a rather nice engine :)

You can get triple Weber kits if you want to throw money at it, or just the standard SUs can make reasonable power with a bit of fettling.

Handling-wise, I’d recommend sourcing a front ARB from a later 2500S, but other than that it should be quite good :)
