Spit them. The driver claims his escape shares a frame with an F150.

Escape is a crossover... which means unibody. An F150 is body on frame.

Infinite facepalms.

I would lie too if I drove an Escape.

I’d escape as quickly as I could.

If it’s the current one.

Shares a frame with a Focus. Designed by Ford of Europe, ford of Europe have never seen an F150.

Nope, it doesn’t. Neither does the larger Explorer. Only the Expedition.

On the cusp, if it’s second gen then Mazda 626, if it’s third gen it’s a Focus. no truck here.

Nope. First and second gens are on the CD2 platform, which was literally only used on the Escape and its badge-engineered counterparts (and the 2004 Bronco Concept). Third gens are on the Global C platform, which is used in the Focus, Transit Connect, and some others.

the 2012 was on the Mazda-Ford CD2 platform. Predecessor to the Mazda-Ford CD3 platform under the 2006-2012 Fusion/Milan/MKZ, and 2006-2014 Edge/MKX.

That would technically make it a Bronco.

I mean, it would make it a lot of things that it’s not, really.
