I know there’s at least a few gamers on here since we have a Oppositelock Endurance Championship, so I just wanted to share my irrelevant feelings on some games.

Rocket League: what the fuck. I think it’s a game that simple to enjoy but incredibly difficult to master. I miss 99% of my aerials but that 1% where I make contact is awesome. I think this would be more fun if I had friends that played on PC.

Overwatch: still fun. I think the Junkenstein’s Revenge brawl for Halloween is great fun, and I hope they implement this as a permanent game mode. The current iteration would be fun to have, but I’d like Blizzard to expand on this - I’m optimistic since fans seem to enjoy it as well, although it does get repetitive. However, the fact that I haven’t gotten a SINGLE Halloween skin is incredibly frustrating, especially when I got boxes full of duplicate items. Unlike the Summer Games special, I actually want all of the Halloween ones, especially Mercy’s witch costume and 76's “Thriller” costume.

Civilization VI: fuck my life, right? I’m still getting used to diplomacy since the two other Civs on my continent didn’t like me from the get-go for whatever reason. I started a war to liberate two city-states from another leader who was being a gigantic knob. Then, America decided to wage war on me for territorial reasons while I was focused on my liberation front - naturally, they are now part of my (Greek) empire. I tend to play as an isolationist, but if someone wants to drag me into a war then I am going to make them pay. Now the Norwegians are angry because I don’t have a strong navy, so now I’m starting to build an advanced navy - I have a feeling they will be the first ones to fully witness it. I’m seven hours into my first game and only now starting to research gunpowder - it’s gonna be a long one. In short, I hope diplomacy gets further refinement through patches/DLC, although it could very well be that I’m playing it all wrong.

I really shouldn’t have bought Civ VI but I just couldn’t resist.

Civ is one of those games that I don’t dare play, but glad they exist. The Division continues to be my main game. I always want to get back into a racing game but setting up my wheel and pedals seems like a lot of work when I only have a few minutes.

Junkenstein’s Revenge reminds me of the original Black Ops Zombies...but with the flair of Overwatch...hell yeah, I want it (or something like it) to be a permanent game type too!!!

I’ve never played the Division, but I have a few friends that play on PS4 - seems like a fun game but games where you have to rely on good item drops can be frustrating in itself.

If I had the space for it, I’d have a permanent racing seat/wheel/pedal setup and play a lot more racing games. I haven’t really gotten into one since Forza 4, although I do still play Dirt 3 or Grid:Autosport occasionally on PC. Unfortunately, my graphics card isn’t good enough to play the new Forza on PC and I just don’t want to shell out for a graphics card at this time.

I haven’t played CoD zombies since the original, which I believe was CoD: World at War, but it does remind me of that. Team Fortress 2 has a similar game mode, although in that one the enemies do shoot back - I think that’ll be the next step if Blizzard decides to make this a permanent feature.

I know EXACTLY why you want that skin.

and it has nothing to do with the game.

(I agree, i want it too and i dont even play)

The reaction that skin got from the community was amusing, especially from that small sub-community that really, really likes the female characters in the game.

She is easily my most played character in Overwatch which is the main reason why I want the skin.

The Division is ultimately an MMORPG with a heavy loot element. However, the most recent patch made the game essentially rain loot on the player, it’s so easy to get good gear now, and the enemies are a lot easier. if the loot system was a sticking point it’s largely been reworked.

The only game I can think of that reminds me of a completely overhauled loot system was Diablo 3, which was incredibly frustrating in the early days but is now much more scalable with uniques/sets that are actually obtainable.

Still, even if the original system was frustrating it still seemed like a very fun game, given how much my friends would chat about it.

The Diablo 3 comparison is very apt. At this point almost all activities guarantee top quality loot, so you’re almost guaranteed good stuff. There is still RNG on the stats and talents on the loot, but even that can be rerolled to an extent. The actual gameplay is pretty solid for a third person shooter. PVP is still a dumpster fire though.

Rocket League is a blast. I never would’ve expected soccer with RC cars to be that much fun.

I want Civ VI and Forza Horizon 3, but I don’t have money to spare for those right now.

Skyrim SE should keep me busy for a while, though.

On reddit, it’s like Skyrim never aged - it’s cool to see that it’s five years old at this point and some people never stopped playing, are re-playing it or even experiencing Skyrim for the first time. I only bought the complete set last year for around $10 bucks, and I still haven’t finished it - there’s so much to do and so many ways to do it.

I bought the complete set for cheap and played through the main storyline about three years ago. I’ve gone back a few times, but never made it very far. Never really got into modding either. But I really like the updated graphics and I’ve started experimenting with mods, so I think I’ll probably stick with it longer this time around.

My friends that play the Division also seem to enjoy Destiny quite a bit.

All I really know about this game was that loot cave that existed in the early days of the game. I don’t remember the situation correctly, but wasn’t there DLC that essentially required buying the whole game again?
