In the PNW you need to embrace your spiders, otherwise you’ll go crazy. They outnumber us at least 10,000:1 in the average house up here.

If the spider is above me, like a web weaver in the corner, it can stay. Until the web becomes dirty or too full of corpses. These are the guys (gals) who get the flyin’ critters. Those that are below get summarily adjudicated and either kilt or taken elsewhere. I live in the South so I squash shoes I haven’t used in a couple months as a mater of course.

Seriously, though, if you tried to locate and kill every one in your house and yard, you’d never get anything else done and you’d never be finished. As soon as you killed one, five more would move in.
