Hey all
So, I finally have some time, and I am ready to pull the trigger on the first upgrade for my Civic, a new head unit.
It’s been YEARS since my last new car stereo, and the choices seem infinate. The Civic, like many Japanese cars is Double-Din. I’ve listed a few of my potential choices, but I am always looking for ideas and suggestions.
That being said, here are the few I am looking at right now. Oh, price isn’t a HUGE issue, but I am trying to stay under 300 for the deck because I am also going to be buying new front/rear speakers as well.

Not usually a Sony fan, BUT this guy has a built in Class D amp that pushes 40Wx4 and 100W PEAKx4. Excellent reviews as well. Would be a good choice since I plan on upgrading speakers and would negate the need for an external amp (in theory).
And finally...

As always, thanks for any input!!!

Crutchfield is the way to go buy all my stuff through them.
When i did my trucks stuff few years ago i did it all through them. $80 kenwood head unit and cheapest pioneer speaker plus a 10in kicker ported sub with a sound ordinance mono amp. Sounds good enough for me.
I dont like screens in my vehicles so id go with the single din options

I’ve always been disappointed in Sony. No experience with Alpine but I hear they’re a step above Pioneer, which is pretty good in its own right.

I have been happy with the Pioneer head unit and clarion amp combo I have in the Mini with the factory Harman-Kardon speakers. You are looking a bit further up market than I was.

I’ve never met an Alpine that I didn’t hate. Their UI is terrible. A lot of people seem to like them for some reason, though.
I’m a huge Kenwood fan, and I’ve always had good luck with Sony products, though they tend to be a bit tacky.

You would be correct in all your statements.

I have had several Pioneer head units over the years and none have given me any issues. I also had a Kenwood with a touchscreen and it was quite nice. Alpine units are all about the name imo. I had several friends who had different models and none were really spectacular.

Get the pioneer, although it only has 14w rms and no android auto/Carplay support. I’ve been eyeing the 9903s and was surprised to see yours has the dual camera option that I want
