"Dr. Zoidberg - RIP Oppo" (thetomselleck)

Been a while since I actually posted something about Doggo other than “doggo” or “doggo in pickup...o.” So let’s start with bad:
The last two Fridays, she has started tearing apart her bed. I feel it’s no coincidence that it’s because that’s the one day a week my wife and I have the same work schedule. So doggo gets left with food and no real energy outlet and waits hours for us to get home. Boredom or separation anxiety :( Luckily I strategically schedule my day to be home for lunch and run around in the yard with her for a few minutes, play catch, and whatnot.
Right now I’m trapped because she feel asleep on my lap and I don’t have the heart to leave (don’t worry, employer, should he be on here: I’m still under 30 minutes as I type this!).
The good news. An ongoing problem is that some neighborhood cat poops all over my property. Other than a minor nuisance, it’s a problem because doggo just looooooves cat turds. It has been the one thing she will not listen to me about... other than all the other things. When she finds poo, I’ll tell her to leave it or no or whatever, she will gobble it down as fast as she can and run like hell. If I tell her to leave *anything* else on this planet, she will. Well today, she found more steaming fresh poo. She sniffed and was preparing to lick. “Leave it, girl.” She left it AND walked over to me! This never happens!
Well back to work for me. Thanks for reading.

I don’t know if it’s you. But every time I see a dog I go LOOK A DOGGO. And my friend HATES the word doggo for some reason.

I don’t get why dogs love cat turds so much, or turds as a whole. Lately when I see my dog I’ve been chanting ‘poops and bacon’.

Yesterday my wife bought our dog a butchers bone from the store to gnaw on. He brought it to bed with him. He sleeps at the foot of our bed. All I heard is him gnawing on the bone until I fell asleep.

Mine used to rip his beds apart, too. I chalked it up to him just being a Lab.

Tried the kong full of PB/treats when you guys both leave? My dog is too dumb to concentrate on it but for some it’ll stop the restless destruction.

But of course, she always gets one on days like this. But look at it from her perspective. You’re sent to be at 9ish. You get up at 8 or 9. You get belly rubs for a few minutes, but then mom is out the door by 930. Dad doesn’t get home until 5, but he might come home around 1 or 2 for lunch. So basically, hyper-active doggo goes 16 to 19 hours having done nothing and effectively confined to a room.

We have the opposite problem. Although to be fair it took her a few months to come out of her shell. Now she’s like... insane.

Because it’s disgustingly cute out loud.

Sounds kinda like how Countess used to act, I’m pretty sure that I’m just used to a hyperactive puppy

I hate the word doggo, I also hate the word “preggo” or “preggers”. I haven’t figured out why yet. I wish I knew so I could get over it. I’m not against cutesy things. For instance I call all dogs puppies!

Good doggo post.
My doggo also chewed up her bed, and then chewed up our older dog’s bed. And now she sleeps on the floor (read: jumps up on the foot of the bed after I fall asleep).
