I recently saw the post over on Lifehacker about Elliot’s bag in Mr. Robot, and thought it would be interesting to show what I carry around from day to day. The contents of this bag all came together during the summer when I was picking strawberries, coaching tennis, managing a pool, lifeguarding, detailing cars, and waiting tables at a restaurant, all in one day.
Eventually, however, this became the bag that I had with me at all times, except for when I was at home, or school (it then resided in the back seat of my car.) Within the bag is anything and everything that I needed during my 12+ hour workdays, and anything I needed to help me enjoy myself following the day’s work.

I carry a knife, keys, phone. My wallet stays in my car/house unless I plan on buying something.
I carry a lot of stuff in my car. Multi tool. Power bank. Tool bag with various tools. Rain coat and various jackets when it’s cold.

I started carrying a back pack earlier this summer when I started commuting via moped. Best decision I’ve ever made. It’s not always organized as well as it should be, but always having a knife, and tools, and deodorant, a phone charger, a fresh pair of socks, and back up shoes, and basically anything else I might need is awesome.

Nope. When I leave the house it’s in the car. When I’m at home it’s in one of a couple designated spots.

Gotcha. I think I must have read “wallet stays in my house” and missed the car/ part...

Don’t you worry about your car getting broken into with your wallet in it. I’d go mad leaving my wallet in my car.

I carry a TNF recon bag chock full of bullshit with a condor tactical first aid kit and a their T&T pouch clipped to it. You’re giving me ideas of other things to pack now. I’d suggest add a quick clot trauma pack just in case.
