Fastback Miatas look like completely different cars. I need one of these hardtops in my life. Eventually.

I prefer the looks of the soft-top NA, but NB is the best looking Miata

I think you accidentally a word or something because I honestly can’t tell what you’re trying to say with that. Fastback NBs are the sex, though.

I’ve seen that car in person at an autocross event, confirmed I would need a fastback if I ever got a NA or NB.

Agreed. I had a friend photoshop Simpson Design’s Italia 2 GTB rear end with a flat blacked-out center and doubled the tail lights. Do want, do want badly.

What in the hell?! That thing looks amazing. Is this an NB kit car? I recgnize the door and center section as obviously an NB but how on earth did they do all that rear end bodywork so seamless?

It’s a Miata that’s been rebodied in aluminum. It’s a legit coupe .
You obviously get what you pay for...and the price is at least 24k$ for the full conversion.

I’m gonna Tavarish for a moment, but looking at what else $24k can get you... god damn that’s value.

It’s certainly for people who care more about having a unique-looking Miata than owning a superior-performing 2-seater convertible, like a S2K CR or a C5/C6, for similar money.
That said, if they can build a NB version of their Manta Ray or incorporate my friend’s photoshop into their Italia II GTB design, then all bets are off for what I want to do with my NB2.

I’m an absolute whore for European asthetics, especially vintage ones, and the thought of having something totally unique that sort of looks like a vintage Ferrari but with the fantastic interior and reliability of an NB Miata for around the cost of a modern mid-sized snoozebox... dear gods yes. And the Manta Ray is all kinds of awesome but, I agree, the NA just isn’t as good of a car as the NB.
